OMG! I have not updated my blog so long. I completely forgot how to get in... ha ha ha : )
Anyway, my flamenco life is still going. I have been taking classes from several teachers since I decided not to dance with teacher "V". V is a good teacher especially on foot work tech. But, I just could not take how she treats other students. After her big show, all of her advanced students at that time moved to other teachers. Fortunately, there are so many great teachers/dancers in SF!! - Yaelisa (Caminos Flamencos), La Tania, Fanny, Melissa, Clara, Mision Flamenca, Karensa, Carola, Antonio, Cynthia, Damien, Hillit.....more...

Yaelisa is a great teacher who can logically explain flamenco. And she makes us to dance individually a lot.

Caminos Flamencos
In a class, "OK, TMAK, I'll sing for you so you dance. If you are lost, don't stop, hanging there with "Marcaje"!! I will keep singing for you and you wait for the right time comes!". Then, she starts singing and class mates starts palmas...so I have to dance no matter how nervous I am.
"TMAK, you start Palmas for Buleria". Yap, palmas too.
Teacher V has never done such things so I was bit freaked out in the beginning. : )

I thought I was doing all right in a class but I learned many things about my dancing when I danced just by myself - my foot works were not rhythmical and compas was off, arms, my head...
This "dancing&palmas by myself in front of bunch of classmates" is very challenging but it has been giving me confidence/encouragement no matter how I did. I believe it must be sometimes painful for Yaelisa to watch my dance. (he he he : )). Thank you for your patience, Yaelisa!

Caminos Flamencos is in Australia now for their tour!
